Blue Dagger & Sheath
Firing vibrant blue glass powder enamel onto the concave sheath surface was exceptionally difficult. Precise temperature and angle control, plus multiple firings, prevented pooling, cracking, or distortion, demanding immense patience and mastery from the late Peter S. Vinczer for flawless, luminous results.
Hand-engraving the intricate gold and silver filigree required extraordinary skill and precision. Using fine gravers, the master created delicate patterns with steady hands and years of honed technique, avoiding slips that could ruin the precious surfaces.
Since age nine, Attila Vinczer deeply admired this magnificent dagger. Unaware of this lifelong affection, his father, the late Peter S. Vinczer, gifted it to him about twenty years ago. A profoundly meaningful family treasure.
